As well as in person counselling, I offer counselling via online video platforms and telephone for anyone who considers this a more accessible mode of support for them.

Life events, traumatic experience, loss and bereavement can result in feelings of anxiety, stress or depression. Any of these can lead to difficulties in your personal relationships or prevent you from living life to the full. It maybe that you have a sense of something not feeling quite right in your life without being able to pin that on anything in particular.

Perhaps you have struggled with issues that have their origin many years ago and you feel it is now time to talk about them or that recent unexpected life changes have left you feeling overwhelmed.

Counselling can provide you with space to take some time-out to explore your thoughts and feelings about these matters. As you are reading this you have already taken the first courageous step towards bringing about change.

After many years experience of providing counselling in the South East, I have been counselling in Dorset since 2016 and currently have a purpose built therapy room in a quiet location with free parking outside Weymouth as well as providing therapy online. As a BACP accredited Counsellor/Psychotherapist, I am committed to providing counselling and psychotherapy in a safe, confidential and non judgmental environment, working in accordance with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy's 'Ethical Framework for Counselling Professions'. For more information about the BACP ethical framework just click here .
Additionally, I have taught Integrative Counselling up to degree level 6 over a period of 7 years, in Surrey and more recently teaching Counselling and Supervision courses at The Iron Mill College at the Exeter and Poole locations until 2022.

I work with individuals for short or longer periods of time, with the aim of enabling you to enhance your life and to live it more fully.

I provide therapy via online platforms for those who find this way of accessing counselling and psychotherpy preferable for them, predomininently through Zoom but including other platforms to meet client needs. I have undergone additional training in counselling in this context.

In my role of counsellor, I have worked with people who have experienced a wide range of difficulties including (but not exclusively):

  • Stress
  • Relationships
  • Panic Attacks
  • Anxiety
  • Low self esteem
